Difference Between Cherry Blossom Tree and New Amethyst Tree?

What is the difference between the Cherry Blossom Tree and the new donation item "Amethyst tree?" Is it just that the CBT bears a fruit? They seem to look exactly the same:

I think they are the same/must be a misnomer.

new amethyst tree is buggy. bought one and sold it 5 mins later (50k loss). cant see it with stump hack unlike the cherry tree. Even had GM come and see it.
