Demo'ing a house with contents inside

What would happen if I demo a house with contents inside? They fall to the ground, right? For some reason I'm thinking the contents would insta-go to a moving crate and drop outside in a chest or something. Just making sure if I demo a house via the house menu, the contents would fall IDOC style. Unfortunately I've never tried this.

Your best bet is to move all items to another location, if you demo a house to replace if there is shit in the way you can not place. and yes it all drops on the ground.
