Curious about Inscription & Spirit Speak

I know there are plenty of threads regarding inscription and its circle spell bonuses with respect to defense. And I know that the shard does not currently offer any %dmg bonus for Inscription, or improved casting for SS.

The question is, do you think they should modify the settings to include for these modifiers?

I don't think they should be added. Giving a damage bonus from scribe, would mean every Mage would have it. same thing for SS. It would limit the templates you would see in the field. I prefer seeing different templates instead of the exact same thing every time.

Although there are generally only a few templates here.

*edit* I think adding the spell damage increase for PvM would be ok

It could balance the Scribe mage against the Alchy Mage..........

But then also give them both power over the dexer, then everyone with have scribe alchy and not stun

No... to get the bonus you would need spirit speak.... this would only make the scribe mage = to the alchy.

The Scribe mage should be the most powerful of all the mages. If you can write the spells it only makes sense that you would be the best at casting them. The second should be the Nox. The fact that there is an Alchy template is stupid, that addition was a bad decision by OSI.

Mages are balanced as is. Alchy for 1v1, Healmage for 1v1 and PKing and survival kinda PVP, Scribemages for PKing and/or groupfighting, Tankmages for fun. No need to overcomplicate things (and to unbalance them without a reason).
