Funny story...well for me anyway, not so much the blacksmith in this story.
I am hanging around the Britain crafting area working on my skills. I see this smith guy (think his name was actually something Smith) off his beetle and smithing things. As usual there are all sorts of people hanging about, but this one character in a robe sporting a newb katana catches my eye.
I see a this same guy flagged grey running North with a beetle following him at one point. In shock of what I am seeing, I follow the beetle a short distance before I realize it isn't the owner being followed. He must have attacked the beetle or stolen something (I assume the beetle was set to guard me). I can only imagine what crafting supplies the beetle was carrying at the time.
I make it back to the crafting area and try to get the attention of the crafter. He finally wakes up realizing his beetle is gone. He runs around like a mad man in all directions yelling "all follow me". I pointed him north, the last direction I saw the beetle.
Now I know you are going to hate me, but this is where the story ends, as I was PK'd shortly thereafter. I can only hope the crafter found his beetle with all the supplies still inside. I felt pretty bad for him, losing his beetle and his supplies.
Moral of the story, always sit on your beetle, or if you must stand beside it set it to "stay".
