Relics are permanently attached once added however;

Pet relics can be by trading the pet that has the relic.

Dexer/Mage relics cannot be traded as the tali is character bound.

Personally since these are worth so much money I think the relic should be character/account bound so you can swap relics/talisman as needed without harming the re-sell value.

Unfortunately, once a relic has been applied as others have stated its basically bound to that Pet/Talisman for good.
