Bulk order book and bank space

I put my bulk order books in the bank. I notice every time when I add a BOD into bulk order book, it will take up one single item space. Is this intended or bug? How can people have hundreds of BODs if they don't own a large house? Thanks

I believe it's one item per 10 bods.

It also promotes using the BOD's and buying/sell them as opposed to just holding onto them until the perfect combos show up.
