Bug: Tomes able to be locked down.

Hi this is just a bug report for those interested to know. I found I was able to use the custom Mailbox to get both the hero and evil tomes locked down. For you see..

When you use a mailbox deed it creates a mailbox that is automatically secured. In order to deed the mailbox, you must release it, and then chop it with an axe.

Now, if you release the mailbox from being secure, and then lock it down, you can put the book inside the mailbox and it will also become locked down. The mailbox is the only item you are able to break with an axe while it is locked down.

The result is that the books will be left on the floor, locked down, able to be raised with the deco tool. etc.

Now in answer to @Bromista 's question as to why they are unable to be locked down, I could not find a reason. Unfortunately though I have not alot of factions experience as I never played during the UO:R era, at least for more than two weeks or so, so there still could be a reason I am not aware of.

After testing, I was able to find out that there is no way to use the books while they are locked down. Not even as a friend, a co owner, or the owner of the house himself. In essence, nobody can walk up and make somebodys book go poof because they aren't in the corresponding faction.

And now to save trolls the time, I have searched the internet for a fitting meme.

Coincidentally, for the right price I might be persuaded to sell 10,000 of my platinum coins.

Damn, well that's awesome you found a way to lock the buggers down but where I'd like to put my tome (cellar) they cannot be manipulated by a deco tool.

Quick question for you Stranded as I don't have access to a mailbox, can you re-deed and then "stack" a mailbox on another object, for example on top of a music stand? So that the end result is a Tome placed on the stand?

If you could try that (perhaps even in a cellar if you have access to one!) it would be greatly appreciated :)

There's unfortunately no way you could use this deco technique to raise it any higher than the floor in a cellar, when you break a container with an axe the contents will always end up at the floor. Sorry to be the bearer or bad news.
