Think you must have the check in your mainpack, not inside an other bag that you have in your main, else they can steal the bag with the check in.

Yeah I was just curious if you got ganked with a check on you could it be looted. Main pack is definitely the way to go to be on the safe side.

Nope. Completely wrong. Always keep your highly valuable items, including large checks, in another bag in your main one.
It keeps it extra safe.
