Auction System in the Forums

How about a new auction system for the Forums.
The owner the auction has to add a picture and the starting bid.
B/O optional.

As an option (selectable from dropdownlist) auction lenght. Either a fixed date or 12 / 24h after last bid.

If anyone wants to bid, he has to put in a value in a field. No comments allowed.

Once the auction hits the end (last bid or date reached), no further bidding is allowed.

That way you don't have useless comments or useless bids below the S/B.

If I had two clues about using Xenforo I'd code it myself.
I did something similar to this with phpBB3 back in like 2009...
We called it the cookie machine because we were weird kids.

I wanted to put together a site like the old UO-Auction2 website (around 2004-2006?) for UOF but unfortunately fansites aren't allowed . UO-Auction2 was an eBay-style system but themed entirely for UO. It was definitely good and would be a great addition here.. I could see a new tab at the top, "Auctions".

I would like to see a formalized way that auction houses can conduct auctions if anything.
