What do you need to be able to do them? Does it absolutely require a tamer with dragons or can I pull it off with an archer/bard character with a second character also an archer + healing?

Trying to figure out what I'm in for... I don't want to fish it up just to get owned.

Nothing more than 2 deep water elementals (maybe one would be an Osiredon if you have 115+ Fishing). It's the fabled net inside the ancient chest that summons the Leviathan. You will need some decent lockpicking to get into the chest, though.

As far as fighting the Leviathan, if you have a bard and are smart about it, you can quickly provo the flood of lesser monsters onto the Leviathan, and shoot it down. Honestly, the Leviathan isn't too hard if you're careful; it's when you get careless that you take a 75 damage fire breath on top of a 45 damage flamestrike and eat shit instantly. Once its health is at like 20-30% though, its bark is worse than its bite.
