I want to take your boats, ofc.
And you should want to be able to take mine if I come on that ass while you Mibbin it up!!!
Or at least get paid for sinking me!
Yo Ho Yo Ho a pirates life fer me.
We pillage we plunder we rifle we loot, yo ho yo ho yo ho.
Yes, I agree a cap would be a good idea.
I don't like the idea of dono ships or pet balls either and you're right would be just like the way it is now.
What I meant was if that was a compromise I had to make then I'd be for it. I probably shouldn't have suggested that but I just had a feeling...
It'll still be very similar to the way it is now. Since galleons are supposed to be "War Ships" they would serve their purpose now instead of just being used to farm mils tram style. You can do that on a small and still recall away at the scary site of another player.
If you didn't sink your...
Deadpool, the only point that is valid in your response is the fact that people could lose their boats.
So again, let me explain what a ransom system is.
When your ship sinks, you pay a ransom and you don't lose it.
The risk of losing your ship is extremely slim but it still leaves just...
If you are having storage issues with three houses then you need a life or are playing it wrong. We had no problem storing 100's of ships, especially since you can keep them on the water, or in your backpack and not use any lock downs at all...
No revamping is required just add the ransom system back in, simple.
If you don't want to lose your 3m galleon then recall out like you normally would and get your boat delivered to you. Just know that you will have to pay for that luxury.
You all know that anyone sailing around in a galleon...
At least if you sink a ship and have a chance to take it, it gives you temporary ownership of that territory while your enemy scrambles to get a new ship on the water.
If you don't want to lose your ship then fight for it!
Just like a murderer has to fight to keep his head.
Just like a...
The problem is that is if you win you don't get anything either.
Ship fights were fun when there was there was risk and reward involved.
Now it has everything to do with preying upon the weak/AFK who leave loot on board.
There's never been much fun in that but I'm glad you guys are enjoying...
Phineas, didn't we recruit you on the sea b/c u were getting murdered by pirates? wtf r u tombat?
But, you guys are right. I don't play anymore because of this plague of tramminess that is like a bad fart smell that won't extinguish it's foul odor that seems to be engulfing the server in its...
With the system Yoar was designing before leaving staff, the ship model would still go to your bank when sunk but you would have to repair it before replacing it back out on the water.
I thought it was a little better then the way it is now but IMO the repair cost should be given to whoever...
Jax, are you trying to say that you would rather conveniently place my ship in my bank box for me while saving me the trouble of dry docking instead of sinking it and getting a chance to keep it for yourself?
Or are you just confirming that you like the way things are because you're afraid of a...
I'm glad that you agree with me about the ransom system.
Don't be mad because we filled and surrounded your fair city's canals with 100's of ships, some players love to collect ships, it's a sandbox game, everybody has a different "idea" as to what is fun for them.
For myself and my crew we...
So the way the ransom system worked was that if you sunk somebody's ship then they could pay the small ransom to get it back right away or they could come and repair it themselves.
If they did not pay up then the ship could be repaired by anyone with a repair kit and kept for themselves.
This...
Ahoy, Shane, Staff, UOF, landlubbers. salty sea worms and for those whom it may concern,
When your ship is sunk there should be consequences, especially if you are a pirate.
If you sink somebody's ship then you should be rewarded, especially if you are defending yourself.
I am Dread Pirate...
