What are the stastistics neded to loot without going grey? Say I am provoking two monsters and somebody else comes along and also starts to provo them. Who will go grey when looting? or neither of us will?

I can be frustrating and 200k is a lot to lose. I think the team are always making big changes to the server and are constantly trying to improve things. Just be patient and bare with it for now I'm sure things will get better soon.

Correct Aleenik, I use Razor. I guess there isn't a Razor function to loot your own monsters corpse?. Plus auto looting nearby corpses would turn you grey in some circumstances. Come at me on a red while I'm on my bard - no problem I don't care, I can run/hide/recall/provo spawn onto them/die...

I'll be finishing off a monster I've been provoking and out of no where some blue will loot all the gold or good items from it as soon as it dies. Are they simply dragging really fast? I have it set so when a monster dies near me it auto shows the corpse loot window but even so I'm rarely fast...

Where did these come from? I saw one which was black and looked like a 'just getting warmed up hat.' How much are they worth roughly?

It's a matter of luck. Sometimes you might pull a couple of vanqishing weapons from one chest. However, if you find you received zero vanqs it might be that you have instead picked up some invulnerable armour instead. In my experience when the weapon quality is low I get nice armour.

I'm not sure if the name is right but I have seen a few red robes around saying something like blood orc robe. Where did these come from and how much are they worth? Did they come blessed or do you need a CBD?

Is drinking as important as always eating until full? Does it just relate to skill gain or other things like fizzling spells missing hits etc too? How much difference do they make?
