Your poisoning skill is relevant to your chance to poison someone with a poisoned weapon when you hit them, and without poisoning you will not actually poison your target often enough for there to be much of a point.

And for the record, you dont have to pick the lock, but the chests trap does seem to reset faster if you do :)

Pick the chest in West British jeweler by bank until about 80-85 then you should be able to RT almost anything without triggering the trap, and you will be able to gain off of dungeon chests from there. Some have claimed to get up to 92 from the jewelers but my gains stopped almost completely at 83
