i wonder if previously haloween mobs were a subset of the paraon spawn, hence them showing on tmaps. and now xmas mobs have their own spawn chance paralel to paragon, and adam reduced the paragon rate to compensate for the xmas mobs, hence tmaps chests suddenly showing less paragons

not if the chest remains on its intended position, and you just remove a piece of the barrier to allow pple to come into range. Upon re-locking the missing barrier piece any stealth char on that tile would block item placement, all the while no further advances into the centre area is possible...

well rare dropping is somewhat specific to mobs, what you want is basically the same, but Tamers or mages would not be able to find these items. perhaps i didnt understand it 100%
