yes, you'll probably have problems controlling the pets you tame but, who cares, just release them
Nope, you'll get the "too angry for taming" message if he gets damage
You could try something like
Creature T (to tame) provoked to attack creature A.
Then creature A provoked to attack creature...
there is not level 6... if you are referring to the treasure map inside, then that's a level 5 paragon chest.
Paragon chest lvl 1 -> treasure map lvl 2 and so on.
3) Only the newly released pets require Taming/Lore > 100 to control, with other pets you're ok with GM skill
4) STABLE slots increase with skills in Taming/Lore/Vet. Check this: http://www.uoguide.com/Stable

i thought only some monsters could destroy clothes... this happened to me when a verite/valorite (don't remember) elemental destroyed my newbie (non blessed, but inlootable) wizard's hat
Actually you can't open any level 5 chests (wyrms/balron/greater blood/etc) till you are GM lockpick.
Moreover, having 95 skill (which is attainable with unattended macroing) lets you open chests up to 4, so you got 99% of lockpickers who can open lvl 4 chests and just some spare lockpicker who...
