Your comment inspired me to address another potentially significant aspect of role-play, the production of inspiring works of visual and performance art. Inspiration would be a moderately long boost to skills. It could come in a variety of forms with possibly stackable effects. Inspirational...
What makes it immersive is different for everyone. Imagine if there were a variety of swords you could make, none of them any better than using a dagger. Or potions you could drink, with various names and colors, with negligible effect. Furthermore, needing to eat and rest just to survive was...

Sneak in, mount ethy, toss on armor, equip DP katana, surprise attack with xplo pot, switch to ax once they are poisoned, and chase down. Keep trap boxes, cure and heal pots on hand. Your...
On a build like that, I would go with hiding and stealth over healing and anatomy. You could sneak up, mount ethy, xplo/ebolt//xplo/poison, arm bow and chase them down. Otherwise, it may be at a disadvantage against a properly equipped, experienced and alert pure dexxer or mage.
To train remove, make sure you have 50 in both picking and detecting. Buy to the max, then work on barrels and crates in Despise level 2 until it starts to slow down, then continue the same but with heavier and heavier gloves. That should bring you to the mid 70s. There will be a few points...
Bandaging is too slow even for a dexxer. I would drop the Healing and Anatomy in favor of hiding and stealth. If sneaking up to people and catching them off guard doesn't appeal to you, consider wrestling and alchemy.
To be a decent thief, you need very high snooping, stealing, hiding and stealth. To be a decent dexxer, you need very high weapon, tactics, healing and anatomy. Rather than melee, consider magery, meditation and evalint. You could sneak up to people to steal their regs, then go sneak up to...
I wasn't sure what else the "Suggestions & Ideas" thread was supposed to be for. The real question is, did you have a strong opinion about any of my ideas, one way or the other? Do you feel the game is already perfect, or could it be improved in some way?
Maybe, but don't you get annoyed when you see plots that go undeveloped, sometimes for months? Can you think of a better way to reward active play while nudging the old-timers not to rest on their laurels? Btw, if you know of some spots for a large 3-story customizable, please email me, as I...
One thing that attracts people to UO is the opportunity to create an identity. Skill-based titles such as "Grandmaster Mage" don't say a whole lot about how you've been spending your time lately. I would like to have an additional title based on my recent relative rank in a certain activity...
