This is one of the things I love about UO, so many things have been altered over the years that nobody can really be sure of anything. Its all a bit of a mystery!! EDIT Dang hally just poured water over the mystery :cry

Well i think you are right about the sail upgrade. although 'superb sails' sounds like it should be for more speed lol

Hmm well I thought the small ship was faster than the large ships. So I bought one of each and had a race with 2 chars.... no difference. I then upgraded the small ship with superb sails...... again i raced the large and small ship. No difference. Unless I am missing something?
