Save your worries for when (if at all) you actually meet them in game. The seas are vast and they are not the only threat :p.

If you put your boat right next and perpendicular to the southern or eastern server line, then no one can board your boat using the bug. Basically what you're doing is making sure that no one can position their boat in such a way to board yours.

This era of UO unfortunately lacks a legit way to board ships. So when you overpower your enemy you have no means of taking the prize. This just doesn't sound fair to me and this is exactly why the GMs (from my understanding) leave this boarding bug in the game. Now if this bug was only known to...

I caught 12 MiBs in 1.5 hours, 2 of which were ancient, using a 120 and 115 fisherman. I think we all have our occasional streaks of unluck. I'm just saying that there is no apperent need to worry about whether the devs may or may not have changed the fishing rates. In my opinion, at least :p.

I think you already know that you need 80 animal lore to res a pet and 60 animal lore to cure a pet. Also, the amount of damage that you heal is both dependent of your vet and lore skills. So yeah, it does help.

I'm pretty sure you only need 70 cartography to decode an ingeniously drawn treasure map. So you can stop training it at about 75-80 skill I'd say. It will take you some more tries to decode a map though, compared to GM.

I've seen a bunch of fishermen AFK fish, kill serpents (with energy bolts) and loot (with automated walking). It is possible, but I don't think it's within Razor's capabilities. Whenever I see one of those people, I kill him and block his recall spot and his boat, so he won't be doing it...
