HOW TO GUIDE ON RANDOM IDOC TIMERS
1. Are there more enemy blues than there are friendly reds? Get on a blue too and wait patiently for a handout for up to 4 hours
2. Got more friendly reds than enemy blues? Zerg the IDOC up until the conditions of step 1 are met. Pray the house falls before...
That is the trade off of being a solo IDOCer and I think it works as intended. If you want the whole pie, expect to put in an equal amount of effort to get it.
I'm not greedy and I'm quite happy to share my pie with my IDOC guild and whoever else wants to try and take that delicious pie off me.
This is why IDOC guilds exist. So you don't need to be a jobless, lifeless, sexless nerd and still be able to participate.
Also, static timers help in this regard too.
I personally don't care too much what length the timer is at, only that is static. If the staff feel that the timer can be altered in a way to make IDOCs more inclusive, then that's cool, go nuts. For reference, the old timer used to be 10 hours 5 minutes which is all the same as a 6, 2 or 24...
I really don't understand this line of reasoning that solo players can't IDOC now. Can you please explain what you are doing at IDOCs, and how/why you're presumably failing?
If you are really struggling, PM me and I will attempt to help you out.
If anything, static timers should play...
Except there has been PvP at IDOCs the last few days. Because static timers have encouraged IDOC guilds to form.
If everyone in this thread spent less time crying on the forums and more time networking a group of like minded individuals, there would be even more conflict and distribution of...

If you time an IDOC, you can recall in 5 minutes before it's due 3 screens away. Stealth your way in and hopefully place and loot undetected. It takes practice and patience, but this is a great way for a solo start up to get started.
This is a very rewarding and interactive way of playing the...
I'm not sure if being solo is even a problem under a static system. Using just the gold that is my bank, some runes, runebooks and a house placement tool I can snipe plots for days regardless of all the zerglings that have been hatched.
This seems like a thinly veiled angry thread directed at EQMS rather than IDOC timers.
EDIT: I've never been more excited to play on UOF now the static timers are back in, and I know I'm not alone in this when a couple of my old IDOC buddies have come back with renewed interest in UO...
