Taking offers on this fully blessed outfit. All Lizardman Hue (2527). Cloth pieces say "Made with lizard skins".
I'm selling this as a set. I will not break it up.
Feathered Tribal - 5k dono
Sandals - 5k dono
Doublet
Half Apron
Skirt
Spellbook (blessed) - 2k dono
Thanks for your offer. I think I'm going to end up holding on to this. There's more than 2m dono into it. Plus bless deeds, plus the cost of the cloth. I'm not willing to take a bath on this, and selling wear-ables sucks.
If you play here, you know why change is needed. Vendor pricing alone isn't going to break the shard, but it certainly isn't helping . And re-vamping a system that only 1% of the shard uses regularly can only help. The WORST case scenario is that 1% of the shard is unhappy about the change...
I hear you about the population. I tend not to get involved in the special treatment discussion. I love UOF but I'm not very optimistic on it's outlook these days.
I won't play anywhere else, so if UOF dies, I'll be done with UO. It's disheartening.
Sorry I see why that would appear contradictory.
This is in regards specifically to the vendor system. It hasn't changed in 20 years, while yes, she takes advantage of it to its fullest, it's not like it was designed specifically for her or her playstyle.
This is the server as a whole and...
That's a little extreme. I don't think Skala is being benefited unfairly at all. My point is we can't consider her experience even REMOTELY close to what's common. So to base a change assuming her experience can be achieved by anyone "with a little elbow grease" is bad.
I think the...
Why does it need to be so complex? What is the actual goal? This idea literally only benefits those who already work hard (probably harder than they should) on maintaining a vendor. It doesn't encourage more to participate.
Also, Skala shouldn't even be considered in this equation. She is...
Maybe as an alternative to "Free rent" we could turn the vendor fees into a commission rather than a pre-sale rent. It would accomplish the same amount of gold sink, but only if the sale is completed.
I figured it was just a typo. Any thoughts on the math though? If that is indeed the correct formula, I can't see how accuracy modifiers actually work for melee weapons.
If this is the correct formula for hit chance, then Archers gain an advantage that no one else does.
Hit Chance = ( Attacker's Weapon Skill + 50 ) ÷ ( [Defender's Weapon Skill + 50] x 2 )
With a +25 bow, this would calculate out to:
(125+50) / ([100+50]x2)
(175) / ([150]x2)
(175) / (300) =...
FYI, "weapons with accuracy modifiers" don't add tactics for Archers, they add to the archery skill. Years ago, someone actually posted the math that goes into hit chance the way it is here on UOF, and a few of us pointed out the math didn't work on archery, but we were never able to get a...
