There is one way to get around the issue of the defence talisman, simply update any information regarding its usage in PVP.
Comments like this help no one, it is one thing being a stone cold, blue murdering bad-ass *AKA Neegan from The Walking Dead*, someone who roams the lands looking to...
Sorry man, lost the plot a little..
Yeah I heard, was setting it up for the last time I was around to give it a try. In fact, I believe Sallos is a better tool to use with stealing and less cheaty than Steam.
It is cheating in a sense, I never use it because it feels unfair. The opposite side of the coin however, is that there are scripts in place to counter these so it balances things out a little. Whatever happened to the days of manual snooping, manual stealing where stealing something felt like a...
Steam ain't that difficult to set up, pretty much the same amount of work as Razor, the difficulty comes when you want to use scripts/macros which may need the odd change to suit what you want to do with it. Just a little taster with what you can do with Steam :
Set a key to auto-open backpacks...
Thinking about firing up my thief again, had to have a break since I made a Tamer and it kind of ripped my soul out, shoved it in a shredder and forced me to put each of the trillion pieces back together.
This right here... I will however add that I use steam myself cause I decided that I wanted to reduce my skill level by at least 80% and wanted to be like one of the cool kids. I even wear my baseball cap backwards when before I never had to wear one while using razor..
The shame..
I think you are all a bunch of newbs, using UOSteam / Sallos for PVP... PFFFT... Try using the UO config system and grow some balls instead of stuffing a couple of tennis balls down yer pants to fake manhood..
On a serious note *referring to the fact that the above is nothing more than a...
NPC's can see through walls, so line of sight is in any built up area. Also, not sure if it's activated here but try and steal from behind the player which seems to help sometimes, but this might be down to luck. Strangely, the more players in an area the harder it is to steal *stealing checks...
This is what happens when you begin the transformation of a server which had many types of skill sets into one directed towards PVP/PVM, things suffer. I have said this so many times over the years that to keep things running smoothly, you need to make sure that ALL professions are looked after...
No... No... And No...
Did I say no?
I must have said No... Why did I say No? Because No... NO...
No matter how this is implemented, it will always affect thieves in one way or another. It is bad enough having faction blessed items.
Did I mention NO?
Welcome back!
Same old really, EQMS departed, PVP seems more approachable now and the place feels much more peaceful *Mood and attitude*. Plenty of guilds to quench your PVP lust, more dungeons etc. The place is still going strong.
Again, welcome back!
Bloody hell, you have been busy.. Fair play on ya and congrats!. Yeah come back, you don't need to dedicate your entire existence to here *not as though you can anymore*, you can join the casual club *That actually might make a good guild name!*, a thief allows us to be extremely casual.
As for...
I think the original system is still working, I still see books in NPC housing *towns cities etc* which were dropped by players. Nice idea though, great in fact, would certainly add more depth to player created lore.
I'd agree with you about the no risk if there were no safe zones to trade in, however, just like meta-pets, there needs to be risk involved crafting at the smithy.
Posting solutions usually brings upon a case of situational deafness..Or blindness in this case.
Well damn.. I stand corrected.. Maybe the reason I never found them is because I never looked. Holding my hands up here, wrong again...
However, stealing is not a terrible skill :(
EDIT : Without removing, I meant Ultima Online comics etc.
