Nah, you gotta have an assistant. I used Steam when I was using ubuntu 12.04 and it worked fine. The top bar didn't display counters all pretty like Windows, but it worked. Try using UOSteam on linux and see if it works.

I do not know about 1, 4, or 5 I believe 2 is worth around 50k or less (I think you can/could buy it on a gold sink vendor for 50k) I believe 3 is worth 50-75k, or at least that's what I sold mine for on my vendors in yew...
