Who said everyone should have a 7x pet? What does GM+ taming skill have to do with pet skill gain? Think cause you spent a good number of hours making your character that having a boss pet should be easy to acquire?
Compared to where I came from, pets are stupid easy to 7x here. I have no...
Well, in my "week" of playing UOF, I am pretty sure telling a new player that and helping them prepare for it is what UO is all about.
...Or did you as a new player run around with flowers in your hair, singing tra la la, while no PKs, theives, or other players interrupted your PVM? Maybe...
It's not about me, although I am right. Set the expectations for the new players up front that pvp WILL BE IN EVERYTHING and to look out for it if they don't like it, is the best you can possibly do for anyone. Trying to segregate it from PVE/PVM like I keep reading is just dumb and screws...
They did this on gamers.. its how I got my sweet uoforever armor there. OSI did it first too.
Its called CUB (Clean up Britannia).
Pretty sure it was done here too with trash tokens.
Neither of these sound broken to me. Sounds like your expectations are broken.
From all the changes I have seen, and how popular UOF has become over the years, I think the devs know what they are about.
In UO, you cannot tell who is a noob or not by a status hanging over their head. Killing every miner's pet is the safe way to ensure everyone is treated equally.
This is what I do. It is low risk, which means you can do it all day long and not really worry about other players or mobs that will kill you. Probably get around 500 bones every 45-60min.
I usually just keep all my junk in the base bag, makes it more a pain for people to loot me. I do throw all my duplicate items into the corners to stack them on top of each other.
You have to unlock the door with the key then set security. Both forms of security are active in parallel, so you have to turn off one if you want to solely use the other (in this case, unlock the door so you can use the set security feature).
