Once you "attempt to steal the weapon WHILE they have it in their hands" wouldn't that already set the weapon to last target?

That question wasn't directed to you, but since you did answer, "in the crude affirmative", how then do you disarm your opponent without them being in war mode? Just because a thief is grey to you ,from stealing,doesn't auto toggle you into war mode & without being in war mode you cant be...

Are you saying that you are able to target the opponent's weapon ( in their hand ) and hit your steal last target macro, after disarming, because you were able to flag on your opponent by stealing?

It's never been that way with the BoDs but it WAS that way at the Moongates during the 2nd Age & Renaissance eras. Stealing ws huge at the Moongates then.

How about allowing arms lore to be used by disarm thieves the way it used to be. Stun that azz, disarm the weapon, steal it from the opponent's backpack and shamelessly whack him with his own weapon a time or two before making my effective escape ;) ... At Moongates even!!! Now that's Era...
