A person can recall out without a script. They can be sitting at the computer the entire time and simply leave when they want to leave for whatever reason. How do you know that a player is AFK? Has the Original Poster ever been able to prove anything? There is a lot of false accusation going on...

There's nothing illegal about hanging out there with your pet if you're not AFK. If you say the guy recalls as staff shows up, how is he then AFK? How do you prove a person is AFK?

As it happens I had 50 ID wands lying around just for fun (finally a benefit to being a hoarder) and will now put one on a vendor for 100gp per charge...

It's Ultima Online... new players being taken advantage of is obviously part of the game. If one concedes that selling them at 100/charge is indeed taking advantage of, which I could think of at least one argument why it's not.
